Internationella Engelska Skolan Hässleholm is a 4-9 school with a safe and calm environment, where teachers can teach and students learn. From August 2024 the school will teach students in grades F-9.

Internationella Engelska Skolan Hässleholm is a bilingual school and has been teaching students in grades 4-9 for more than eight years, with up to half of the teaching provided through the English language.
From August 2024 we will also welcome students in grades F-3, where most of the teaching takes place in Swedish. English is introduced gradually through play and lessons, as students become more comfortable.

We follow the Swedish curriculum and teaching in English is given by qualified teachers from English-speaking countries such as Canada, Australia, the USA, South Africa and the UK.

Welcome from the principal
Welcome to Internationella Engelska Skolan in Hässleholm!
When IES opened in Hässleholm in 2015 I was one of the first parents to enrol my child. The ethos of IES appealed to me and I also wanted her to have the opportunity to spend her school days in an international environment since I firmly believe that gaining an understanding for cultural differences early on in life creates young adults less prejudiced towards others.

Apply in just three steps:

Most of our schools begin their intake for the following academic year in the autumn term. The length of the process depends on how quickly we hear back from families who are offered places.
Write to the school in question and let them know your queue ID number or personnummer and the information that you would like to change. You can find contact details for our schools here.
There are no fees to attend IES schools. Our schools are funded in the same way as those run by the municipality, through the Swedish tax system and the school voucher (skolpeng).
